We were supposed to have lunch today, Alonah and I.
She asked me a little before eleven if I wanted to grab lunch and I didn’t replied until about half past eleven. Still, we agreed to go at 12:30 or so. Now, I know I should have gotten up and started getting ready, but the thought of laying in my bed seemed so much better. So, I did.
I laid right back in my bed- under my cover, blanket, and two sheets. I fell back asleep and right into a dream. George was in it, which was nice… really nice. It’s been almost two months since the last time I dreamed about him. This dream seemed like more of a possibility, especially the part where he told me to keep it between us. That’s definitely something George would say to me. But, my dream was interrupted by a call reminding me that we were having lunch.
Lunch didn’t happen, anyway. I couldn’t find my id, so I sent her back to work and we just linked up later. Alonah and I, along with two other friends, ended up in possibly the best study spot on campus. We stayed in a small conference room in a newly opened old building for a few hours and did some finals work.
Oh, I called George while we were there. He didn’t answer. What a bummer.
But, then he called back about fifteen minutes later. He had been in class when I called. He asked how I was and other sorts of questions. He was uncharacteristically nice on the phone, and he could tell that I was in a weird sort of daze while on the phone. But, he asked about a party (he always asks and I always invite him).
I wonder if he’ll really come up this weekend. I want him to, even though I shouldn’t really be partying.
