I met Congressman John Lewis today…
and, this had to be some sort of twist of fate.
His book Walking with the Wind has been sitting on my desk since I came back to school. It’s a memoir of the Civil Rights Movement that I’d been meaning to read for quite some time now.
The talk with the Congressman and Representative Rush Holt was an important moment for me. He mainly spoke about his experiences during the Movement and even gave his opinion on the Occupy Movement.
